3. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Can I delete messages?
A: No. To maintain court-admissible evidence, messages cannot be deleted. You can deactivate your account, but historical communications remain accessible to your co-parent and courts.
Q: What if my co-parent won't use the app?
A: Use "Solo Mode" to send one-way communications via email. All your messages are still tracked and court-admissible, even if they don't respond through the platform.
Q: How do I export records for court?
A: Go to any section (Messages, Calendar, Expenses) → Click "Export" → Select date range → Download PDF. The export includes timestamps and authenticity certification.
Q: Is this app accepted in Texas courts?
A: Yes. TexParent Hub records meet Texas Rules of Evidence standards for electronic communications. However, admissibility depends on your specific case. Consult your attorney.
Q: Can my attorney access my account?
A: Yes. Go to "Professional Access" → "Grant Access" → Enter attorney's email. They'll receive view-only access to your communications and records.
Q: What if I have a protective order?
A: Upload the protective order to your account under "Documents" → "Legal Orders". We'll enforce communication restrictions. Use Solo Mode if direct contact is prohibited.
Q: How secure is my data?
A: We use bank-level encryption (SSL/TLS), secure password hashing, and regular security audits. However, remember that your co-parent has access to shared communications.
Q: Can I add my children to the platform?
A: Children under 13 cannot have accounts (COPPA compliance). Teens 13-17 can have accounts with parental setup and limited permissions.
Q: What does "court-admissible" mean?
A: All communications on TexParent Hub are timestamped, authenticated, and preserved in a format that meets Texas evidence standards. This means they can be presented as evidence in family court proceedings.
Q: Is there a cost?
A: TexParent Hub is free with non-intrusive advertising. Premium ad-free tiers coming soon.
